What Is a Dental Bridge?
A bridge uses the teeth adjacent to a gap (the abutment teeth) to support one or more replacement teeth (the pontics). The abutment teeth are prepared and the bridge is bonded in place, restoring appearance and chewing. Bridges can also be supported by implants where the adjacent teeth are not suitable.
Same-Day CEREC Bridges
Where suitable, Advance Dental Care can design and mill a bridge chairside using the CEREC system, avoiding the usual laboratory wait for appropriate cases. Not every bridge is suitable for same-day CEREC — some situations call for a laboratory-made bridge or a staged approach. Your dentist will assess and advise.

What to Expect
For a conventional bridge, the abutment teeth are prepared, an impression or digital scan is taken, and a temporary bridge is fitted while the final bridge is made. For a suitable CEREC bridge, the process can often be completed in one visit. Your dentist will explain the process for your specific case.
